A long time ago, the forests of North Jersey were quite different from what they are today. They were predominantly American Wormy Chestnut and Hemlock. Most of these forests of Chestnut were exploited and destroyed in the 1700s and early 1900s until the European Blight hit and wiped out the rest. American Chestnut was easily worked with basic hand tools so much of this wood ended up as cabins and furniture. Lance Lichtensteiger sculpts the Chestnut he has reclaimed from these old cabins that are set to be demolished. This gorgeous Bluefish measures 25" x 11" and comes off wall 8". Available for Pick Up only. Sturdy metal hanging wire built in.
